This vintage Japanese Boro Sakiori Mat is a single-panel textile produced in the late 1930s. Woven using the traditional sakiori technique, it incorporates vintage and antique fabric remnants into a new textile, while Boro patching and mending preserve layers of handwoven cloth through continued use. A printed cotton edging in a deep navy, burgundy, and olive medallion pattern finishes two sides. Use it as a rug, bed topper, table runner, or textile art. One of a kind.
