This antique hand-hooked wool rug dates to the 1920s and features a symmetrical acorn and oak leaf motif, characteristic of early 20th-century American folk art textiles. Classic hooked rug construction creates a tightly looped wool pile on a woven backing, reflecting traditional New England and Mid-Atlantic rug-making techniques. A slate blue border frames the cream ground, with warm terracotta and blush acorns surrounded by teal and sage oak leaves in a balanced repeating pattern. The saturated palette reflects the natural and early synthetic dyes of the period. In good antique condition with wear and inconsistencies unique to the original handmade piece. One of a kind.
