Dating to the 1950s, this vintage American quilt features a winding composition of autumn leaves in shades of rust, golden yellow, olive green, brown, and soft neutral tones. Each leaf is individually appliquéd onto a white cotton ground, with hand-embroidered details and trailing green stems creating movement across the surface.

The queen size quilt is entirely hand quilted, with a mix of grid, leaf, wave, and decorative stitching worked throughout the open ground and around the appliqué. Subtle signs of age and faint original quilting marks remain visible in places, adding to the character and history of the piece. One-of-a-kind.
