Ovelha Bobble Wool Pillows

The Ovelha Bobble Wool Pillow is handcrafted in a small village in Portugal by a single artisan who has dedicated much of her life to traditional textile weaving. Working with wool sourced from nearby farms, she creates each pillow individually, carrying out every stage of the process by hand. The natural, undyed and unbleached wool is carefully sorted by color, then manually spun into thick cords and woven on a traditional loom. Each colorway is achieved entirely through the selection and combination of the wool's natural tones, without the use of dyes or bleaching.

Rooted in the tradition of cottage industry craftsmanship, each pillow is made one at a time rather than through conventional production. The finished piece features a timeless knife-edge silhouette, an invisible YKK zipper, and a reversible design with generously looped bobbles on one side and a tightly woven basket weave on the other. Subtle variations in color, texture, and weave reflect the natural materials and the hands of its maker, giving each pillow its own distinct character.
